You probably already know that acupuncture can be great at helping to manage muscular skeletal aches and pains.

My frozen shoulder was kick-started into healing with acupuncture.  I have enjoyed success treating people with lower back pain, sciatica, elbow pain, shoulder pain, knee pain and headaches.  Sometimes the relief is immediate and sometimes it takes a little longer.

But I also love acupuncture's ability to bring back a little balance for those times when you just feel a little bit urgh.

The Chinese seemed to be way ahead of the west when it cam to recognising the mind body connection.  They recognised that sometimes disease has internal causes that often equate to what we see as emotions.  We now see that too much anxiety will lead to stomach issues - acupuncture has known this for centuries.  The same applies to stress and anger leading to high blood pressure and headaches.  Left unchecked those Internal causes of disease can lead on to much more serious illness.

When I had my first treatments I noticed how that, in addition to the relief of pain in my shoulder, I also just felt a bit better.  I slept better, felt more relaxed and each time just a bit more balanced.  I now enjoy regular treatment just to maintain a sense of well being.

5 element acupuncture particularly recognises the need to maintain a balance in the bodies internal energy.

So if you are feeling just a bit out of balance and can't quite identify anything specific that is wrong perhaps you would benefit from a few treatments just to bring back that feeling of being in tune and balanced
