But I don't like needles

It's perfectly normal to be a bit anxious about needles - but you may be very surprised to see just how tiny acupuncture needles are.

The needles I use are single use and they are really, really thin.  Unlike the needles you may have come across at the doctors, acupuncture needles are solid so they can be made ultra thin.  May of my clients are surprised when I step back after inserting the needle as they never felt a thing.  You may feel a very slight pricking but it really isn't at all painful

One of the most commonly used needles I use is just 0.25mm thick - just a quarter of the smallest mark on your ruler.  Take a look at the photo to see just how they compare to other household objects, and the ones I use for auricular (that's acupuncture in the ear) are even tinier.

But I completely understand that you may be nervous.  I have had several clients in the past that wanted to experience acupuncture because they have heard how effective it can be but that are put off by the thought of a needle.  I will spend as much time as you need to reassure you, you can see the needles and even handle them if it will help.

Acupuncture is such a powerful treatment it would be a shame if your anxiety were to stop you trying it - why not get in contact and talk through your worries?
